With the exception of Preserving in a Day on 25 January, there will be no Food Safari courses running the first few months of 2014 while we establish a new partnership. We will relaunch the business in late spring 2014.

We’re sorry that means we’re not selling Christmas Gift Vouchers this year. Come back soon to see our new 2014 programme!

Food Safari hosts a packed programme of cookery courses and food tours that go further than a traditional cookery school, giving you the opportunity to see the origins of truly great food. We’ve teamed up with some of the best artisan producers in the country including Pinney’s of Orford and Emmett’s of Peasenhall in Suffolk and Sipsmith Distillery and England Preserves in London.

Join one of our fun full or half day cookery courses or behind-the-scenes tours. As well as trying a new skill, enjoying fantastic food and drink, you’ll be inspired by the passion and knowledge of the farmers, foragers, fishermen, butchers and bakers who lead each Food Safari. Our Tours take you behind-the-scenes to visit farms, smokehouses, artisan bakeries and butcheries that are never normally open to the public. You will get hands-on and learn something new whether it’s shucking oysters, boning pheasant, from identifying edible mushrooms to nurturing sourdough bread.

Our courses and events run in Suffolk throughout the year from baking sourdough bread, preserving summer fruitsmushroom foraging in the autumn, game butchery and cookery in the winter,
