Food Safari HQ
Our stunning timber-framed barn, Brick Kiln Barn, Sibton in the Suffolk countryside provides the perfect location for a day out of the office. Surrounded by fields and woodlands the main barn is a large space that will accommodate up to 80 for lunch or dinner. One Victorian dairy wing houses a commercial kitchen and can be used as a more intimate dining room where you can watch the chefs prepare your meal or hold a cookery class. The second wing is a flexible space that can be used for meetings or break out groups. Outside is a sheltered courtyard where you can enjoy a coffee in the sun.
Food Safari is close to Saxmundham in Suffolk, just 10 miles from the coast at Aldeburgh, 15 miles from Southwold and Woodbridge and a few minutes drive off the main A12 from London to Lowestoft. Link to map (Brick Kiln Farm, Sibton, IP17 2NE)
We can offer:
- A relaxing team day out
- A challenging team away day
- A venue for meetings
- Delicious lunches or dinners by our in-house chef, Peter Harrison
- Training such as butchery or product development
Seafood in a day:
Take a gentle trip on the river at Orford to find lobsters and crabs, sometimes we see seals in the water and we always see the amazing birdlife on the RSBP nature reserve at Havergate Island. Enjoy a relaxed seafood lunch at the much-loved Butley Oyster Oysterage, and those that fancy a challenge can learn how to open oysters and carve whole smoked salmon.
Wild food in an afternoon:
A relaxing stroll in the Suffolk countryside with a wild food expert. You will learn about the abundance and diversity of foods in our gardens, hedgerows and woodlands. You will never look at weeds in the same way again! We can include a spot of outdoor cooking with wild food before enjoying a delicious lunch.
For something a bit more challenging
Pig in a day:
Sharpen your knifes for a hands-on pork butchery workshop and get creative inventing your own sausage recipes before a competitive taste-off, followed by a delicious pork lunch.
Wild meat in an afternoon:
Skin, joint and cook and eat rabbit – not for the faint-hearted!
Meetings and dinners
Our beautiful barn is available for hire for meetings and parties for 8 to 80. We can take care of the catering using seasonal local produce from Food Safari partners.

What a wonderful time I had on Saturday. I learned such a lot and I thought all the presenters were top class. The food was absolutely delicious. This really was one of the best presents I have ever had.
