Catch and Cook
Join us on 06 October 2012
More than just a fish cookery course, the freshest fish you ever find will always be the one you catch yourself.
No fish can taste better than one you have caught yourself! Join us on board our specially chartered boat, The Panther and not only will you have the chance to catch your own fish, but our on-board chef will show you how to skin, gut and fillet it. He’ll also provide a delicious fishy brunch on board.
The North Sea offers excellent fishing and the numerous wrecks off Southwold hold extensive fish stocks. Our in-shore fishing trips offer us the chance to find cod, skate and dog fish.
We’ll set off from Walberswick with experienced skipper Mark Felton who’ll explain the different species, habitats, seasons and stocks of fish off the Suffolk coast. You’ll be fully kitted out with bait and tackle to see what we can find. Experienced anglers are welcome, but if you’ve never fished before there will be plenty of one-to-one tuition.
After a day on the sea fishing will return to the beach at Walberswick for a barbeque of some freshly caught fish and a glass of wine or a beer.
We can not guarantee a catch, but we will try our hardest to put you on the fish, and and make your day an enjoyable and memorable one.
