Catch and Cook

Venue: The Anchor at Walberswick
The North Sea offers excellent fishing. We'll spend the morning fishing in-shore fishing cod, ray and mackerel. We'll return to The Anchor for a late seafood lunch, after which we'll show you how to skin, gut and fillet the fish you caught and demonstrate some delicious recipes to tryit at home.
We'll set off from Walberswick with experienced skipper Mark Felton who'll explain the different species, habitats, seasons and stocks of fish off the Suffolk coast. You'll be fully kitted out with bait and tackle to see what we can find. Experienced anglers are welcome, but if you've never fished before there'll be plenty of one-to-one tuition..
You will take home the fish caught. We will provide all of the fishing equipment necessary for the day.
The April Catch & Cook will be fishing in-shore for code during the morning with a late lunch at The Anchor. In July we will spend a full day fishing off-shore for cod, bass and mackerel.
We'll take a light lunch on-board and enjoy a hearty meal at The Anchor when we return in the early evening.
Catch and Cook weather policy: If your chosen date is cancelled due to weather, we will offer you an alternative date.
