Children's Food SafariSunday 3 OctoberThis day will give children aged 6-12 the chance to make the connection between the food we eat and the farm it comes from. We'll spend the day at a small-holding, and meet the pigs and free-range chickens, geese and bees. We'll get hands-on making burgers and sausages. We'll also use local flour to make some bread to be cooked in a wood-fired oven and share a feast with the parents. |

Evening Butchery ClassesFriday 8 October, Friday 12 November, Friday 28 JanuaryNew this autumn we're launching a range of evening hands-on butchery classes near Ipswich. The butchery classes are aimed at teaching you all about the meat, where it comes from, and also a range of basic butchery skills that you can put to use in your own kitchen. Our tutor is award-winning butcher, Gerard King, of the Suffolk Food Hall who will show you skills such as boning, rolling, stuffing and carving.
